I received my PhD in Development Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2008, and started teaching at Beloit in 2009. I teach a variety of economics and business courses, and have mentored many students in their pursuit of careers in business, be it marketing, consulting, finance, or accounting. Coming from an entrepreneurial background, I enjoy mentoring students who want to start their own businesses. My international and multi-cultural background has brought global perspectives into my teaching and advising, making me popular among international students and domestic students with international interests.

A few years ago, I worked with faculty across many disciplines on campus to create the interdisciplinary data science & data analytics program, which launched in Fall 2020. In 2023, I helped launch the School of Business, and became its first director.

Originally from Hanoi, Vietnam, I have been living in the U.S. for more than twenty years. I currently live in Beloit with my husband and two adorable children. I love Beloit and its strong sense of community.
